I do not aim with my hand;
He who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand;
He who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun;
He who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart.
Those of you who lurk the Dark Tower tag have probably seen this, but for the sake of consistency, I’m posting it again.
I absolutely adore this jacket. I actually made that stencil for the keyhole on the shoulder. (By made I mean I assembled vectors to make it something I liked, not I drew it by hand. I’m not that artsy-fartsy.) It was also my first 2 color stencil and I’m very, very pleased with how it turned out. Originally I had no clue what I wanted to do with the jacket after I put the studs down the back, but then I felt like a Dark Tower theme would be perfect.
After wearing it for about 5 months, I’ve actually only had one person recognize it for what it was and comment on it. Which is awesome, but kinda sad as well. I’ve only ever seen like 4 people reading parts of the Dark Tower on the bus or whatever, and was hoping there were more Tower Junkies floating around London.
I want to add more to the jacket, but I’m not sure what to do, and I don’t want to clutter it up. I was thinking maybe Ka on the wrist but I’m not too sure if it would look right or not. The good thing about this jacket too is that everything is a patch. I didn’t paint right on the coat this time, I used an old pair of black jeans to make patches and sewed them on. So I could technically do anything and if I didn’t like it just remove it.
As always, the studs are from StudsAndSpikes.com. They were left-overs from previous projects, but I’m awesome and always seem to have just enough to do whatever it is I plan on doing!
